Hi All,

We are using Oracle Warehouse builder as our datawarehousing tool.

We are getting all the input files in Excel formats. As we were under an impression that OWB can process one excel file at a time, we have written a windows script for converting the incoming excel file to flat files and we use these flat files to load to the staging area.

Is there some way we can avoid this excel to flat file conversion and use some other methods to use the excel file itself as the source of data to load into the staging tables?

Please can someone please help?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi All,

Just to add to my above question, We have tried to use the excel file and could see that we need to establish different odbc connection parameters for different excel file to be loaded. This would be quite tedious incase of hundreds of xls files.

Please can someone help, if there is any other way to handle this situation?

Thanks and Regards,
