Hi,

I am trying to install Oracle 11g R2(64bit) on Windows 7 64 bit OS.
While Creating Database using DBCA i am getting error. Below is the screenshot.

Below is the error in the Trace file...

oracle.sysman.assistants.util.step.StepExecutionException: Error in Process: C:\Oracle\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\bin\orapwd.exe
Unable to find error file %ORACLE_HOME%\RDBMS\opw<lang>.msb

Can some one please help in resolving this.

which Edition of Windows 7?
No Oracle version is certified with an Home Edition.

when all else fails Read The Fine Manual; Installation Guide

Ohh i am trying to install on Win 7 Home Premium...

From the Installation guide it seems below are the supported versions..

Windows 7 x64 - Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions

You can install Virtual Box on Win 7 Home & then run a supported OS as guest VM
