I have a production APEX environment, using ORDS19.4. I don't have a test/dev environment. I want to upgrade the ORDS to 20.3.

I know that the first time ORDS 20.3 connects to the database (as it will when I run the setup) it is going to upgrade all the ORDS schemas. So from then I will have my production ORDS19.4 connection pools using schemas that are version 20.3. As far as I know, this will not be a problem: an older ORDS can use newer schemas. But I can find nothing documented for this.

Any ideas?

Thank you for any insight.
