Hello

I'm trying to create a database for an assigment and am required to save jpeg images to oracle 10g using SQL Plus and a way of viewing these in Forms 6i.

Can anyone suggest how I can go about doing this.

I have tried searching OraFAQ and most of the topics mention BLOBS - can someone please explain what this is. Thanks

Please google 'blog' for a fuller explanation. A blog is a 'binary long object'. Basically, its an object type for storing large binary objects.

I don't know how to store an image via SQL*Plus but there are plenty of threads. Have a look at http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/136906/67467/?srch=read+jpg#msg_136906

Huh, don't google for BLOG; try BLOB instead Wink as "blog" is short for weblog, while "blob" means binary large object - image, for example.

Woops, brain fade. Yea, BLOB - it certainly makes a better acronym for Binary Long Object.
