How to save a file in a user preferred location ? [message #184915]

Hi all,

i am using Forms 6i , i am generating a text file and saving it on a fixed location, Now according to new requirement they want me to popup a window and asks user to browse a location and name for that file and save it on user preferred location.

Is there anyway or workaround to do this ?

Read up on WEBUTIL. I don't know if it is compatable with 6i, but it does seem to fit your requirement.

Use GET_FILE_NAME Procedure for your desireed task hope it will solve yours problem

For Forms 6i you need to use 'd2kwutil'. Search this forum for references to this facility.
