Hi,

I was trying to install Oracle 10g on my laptop which has Ram less then 256 M.B. Thats why Oracle 10g is not installing.

What I want to know is, is there any other version of Oracle which is free like Oracle 10g and need less RAM? But the version must be between 9i and 10g.

If any of you guys nows plz tell me. I will be very thankful to you.

Regards,
Azam Khan

How much MB does it really have (if it is "less than 256 MB")? Is it possible to purchase additional RAM chip(s)? Whichever Oracle version you install, it will crawl like a dead cow on 256 MB. XE will, though, install on min. 256 MB, but 512 is recommended.

You can try with Oracle XE (Express Edition)
